Data Centres Conference, London Olympia

Sophie Browning, PowerGreen’s Business Development Manager, recently attended the Data Centres Conference at London Olympia. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with industry colleagues and explore the latest innovations shaping the sector. Attendees at the event heard that power availability, grid infrastructure, and connectivity are now just as critical as AI computing capacity itself.

Experts on the panel ‘Achieving Net Zero: Optimising Energy Efficiency for Green Data Centres’, highlighted the importance of integrating renewable energy, improving grid resilience, and enhancing cooling efficiency to meet AI’s increasing power demands. To sustain AI’s exponential growth, the industry is pushing for more energy-efficient servers, smarter cooling solutions, and better grid integration. The path forward requires a balance of technological advancement and sustainable energy strategies to ensure that data centres can scale responsibly.
