Renewables Connections, one of the UK’s leading solar and battery developers, has appointed a new Land Acquisition manager to its Scottish division.

David Reid will lead on all landowner engagement in Scotland, operating as the key point of contact for landowners or farmers interested in hosting renewable energy projects on their land.

David who is from an east coast farming family, studied Agriculture at The Royal Agricultural University followed by Real Estate Management & Development at Heriot Watt University before becoming a fully qualified surveyor. Throughout his 19-year career he has undertaken development and land management roles with established house builders and property consultancies across Scotland.

Renewable Connections are interested in hearing from landowners with a minimum 40 acres for solar or one acre for battery; ideally grade 3 or lower quality; preferably close to 33KV or 132KV overhead lines, or near a substation; with ability to let for 30 years.
